On 19 November, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Board Director of the Latvian British Chamber of Commerce, Mārcis Liors Skadmanis, to discuss the main activities for the Chamber of Commerce in 2016 and its priorities.
Mārcis Skadmanis told Minister Rinkēvičs that next year the Chamber of Commerce to increase its outreach to Latvian nationals resident in the United Kingdom on enhancing their awareness of British law, as well as providing information to an expanded range of British businesses on business opportunities available in Latvia.
Mr Skadmanis said that the Latvian British Chamber of Commerce is opening its first business park in Bristol in November, thereby broadening business opportunities for Latvian nationals working in the United Kingdom.
The Latvian British Chamber of Commerce is engaged in fruitful cooperation with government authorities, especially on matters of business and investment.
The Latvian Foreign Minister expressed support for future work and activities of the Latvian British Chamber of Commerce and encouraged its active involvement in export promotion, attraction of investment and strengthening economic ties between Latvia and the United Kingdom
